Peter Jackson releases a 6 minute excerpt from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug live event! [video]

Not everyone was able to view Peter Jackson's live stream preview for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug that was held about a week ago. If you are one of those people who were unable to, you can now check out a 6 minute excerpt that Peter Jackson has put together that features Peter Jackson answering a few video questions from big fans. Two of the questions come from big names such as Billy Boyd (Pippin from The Lord of the Rings) and Stephen Colbert (The Daily Show and The Colbert Report). Even better, this excerpt has all new behind the scenes footage from the film The Desolation of Smaug. 

"Warner Bros have kindly let me post a six-minute excerpt of the Live Event we did to preview The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, to give anyone who missed it a sense of what it was like."

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will hit theaters on December 13, 2013.
