First photo of the Huntress on the CW's Arrow revealed!

Fans of the new CW show Arrow will be pleased to know that actress Jessica De Gouw will be soon making her debut as Helena Bertinelli aka The Huntress. Huntress will be making her debut on November 28th. While her current role on the show may only be for 2 episodes, it was announced by executive producer Andrew Kreisberg that her role will eventually expand.

"It’s two episodes for now but we definitely hope we see more of her. We certainly set her up as an interesting foil for Oliver and we’re excited to see where else we can take her."

On the show Huntress will portray Oliver's (Green Arrow) mirror opposite. While both come from damaged pasts Oliver has chosen to use his darkness for good while the the Huntress has chosen to use her darkness for revenge. When asked about Huntress' costume, Kreisberg stated,

"For the Huntress—she's basically wearing a cape and a purple bikini in the comic. That wouldn't play so well. So her costume is much more functional while also being sexy, and you see there are also hints of purple, which ties into her comic book costume," Kreisberg said. "Also, in the comic, Helena is devoutly Catholic. You can see in the Kevlar she's wearing on her chest, it's actually in the shape of a cross, which we thought was really cool."
