The Avengers receives a new trailer and new name!

Just a day after the release of its first official movie poster, The Avengers has given fans a brand new international trailer and what an amazing trailer it is. We see both plenty of action and our favorite characters. We even get our first glimpse of Colby Smulders as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill. We see the Avengers team fighting each other, a certain team member in captivity, the team bonding together, fighting side by side, and even saving each other. What a catch by the Hulk! Fans even get a good look at Loki trying to intimidate Nick Fury as well as another (huge) alien threat.

At the end of the trailer comes one of the bigger surprises. The name of the movie for the UK release has been changed from The Avengers to Avenger Assemble. When asked for an explanation, a representative from Marvel replied:
“We have changed the title of “Marvel The Avengers” to ‘Marvel Avengers Assemble’. This has been done merely to differentiate the movie from the popular 1960s British television show, The Avengers.”
I have to say that this name change is completely ridiculous. I highly doubt that movie goers today will confuse this Marvel movie for a television show from 50 years ago. This isn't the first movie to receive a new name over seas, so it is not that big of a deal. Just a silly one.

Without further ado, enjoy the trailer!!
