Hobbiton Will Be A Permanent Attraction In New Zealand

It was officially announced yesterday that the set of Hobbiton, a town in The Shire featured in the books and movies Lord of the Rings and the upcoming The Hobbit, will permanently become a visitor attraction in New Zealand.
It was also announced today that Hobbiton on the outskirts of Matamata, will remain as a permanent visitor attraction after filming is completed.

The set will include 44 Hobbit holes, a stone bridge, and a local hostelry called The Green Dragon.
With this announcement, the appeal to visit the beautiful New Zealand has grown greatly. Better start saving up. Tours will be run by Hobbiton Tours.
