The Ghostbusters' legacy is re-discovered in the first trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

WOW! The first official trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife has been released and this is the true sequel to the original franchise that we have been waiting for. This new trailer does a great job at teasing plenty of references to the original films and giving you that real Ghostbusters feel while showing that they are not afraid to head in a new direction for the story.

"From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind."

From symmetrical books stacking to Egon's collection of spores, mold, and fungus, I was smiling from ear to ear the entire trailer. I love what I saw and love the "gunner seat" in the Ecto-1! I also really love that this family is related to Egon and that director Jason Reitman is using that aspect to honor the late Harold Ramis in this film. I am so excited!

Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be in theaters on July 10, 2020.
