Tom Cruise reveals the first poster and trailer to Top Gun: Maverick at San Diego Comic-Con.

In a surprise move, Tom Cruise showed up to San Diego Comic-Con has revealed the first trailer for the upcoming Top Gun sequel, Top Gun: Maverick. The film has been shooting in San Diego so it makes sense to debut the trailer at SDCC. Right before the debut of the trailer, Cruise revealed to fans that everything that you see in the trailer is all practical effects with no CG. Tom strapped into the jets and really flew it himself along with all the other pilots in the film doing various stunts and maneuvers. That is amazing and I love it!

Set in a world of drone technology Top Gun: Maverick explores the end of the dogfighting era. There are some definite callbacks to the original and I am surprised to say that this looks really good. I am very interested to see more.



Top Gun: Maverick will be in theaters on June 26, 2020.
