The first trailer for the Sonic The Hedgehog film delivers an awkward experience.
Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for the live action Sonic The Hedgehog film and it is ... interesting. The CG look of Sonic is a little weird and it's funny to say that the CG look of Sonic from his video games is better than a big budget studio film. Ben Schwartz voices Sonic while Jim Carrey plays the villainous Dr. Robotnik. The overall look of the film looks like it could go either way with a heavy lean towards the very awkward.
Synopsis:
"SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic."
Sonic The Hedgehog will be in theaters on November 8, 2019.
