The DC television universe gives fans what they want as a photo of Superman appears in a new black suit!

Well, I did not see this coming! A first look image has been revealed of actor Tyler Hoechlin who plays Superman in the CW show Supergirl in a brand new costume. What's amazing about this new costume? It's Superman's iconic black suit!  Hoechlin is pictures with both Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin (Green Arrow and Flash respectively) which should indicate that Superman will be appearing in this new suit in the upcoming CW DC crossover event "Elseworlds".

This suit is of course known as the suit that Superman wears after he returns from being killed by Doomsday in the comics. Though the comic suit did not have a cape, Hoechlin's suit looks pretty good with it. I also really like that they added a collar to the suit which is a small, but great, added detail. The appearance of this suit does raise questions however. What Earth is this Superman from? A completely new one that we have not yet seen? Has this Superman dealt with Doomsday already? We'll have to wait until the big crossover event this December to find out.
