Final trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald reveals a surprising character connection to the Harry Potter franchise.

Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and it will make fans' jaws drop. This new trailer is packed with new footage but the most shocking part is a character connection to the Harry Potter franchise that nobody saw coming. (I'll talk about that at the bottom of this article.)

Film synopsis:
"At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world."

Sit back and get ready for the action!

This trailer reveals that actress Claudia Kim is playing Nagini. Yes, that Nagini. The character is a circus performer who has a very unique power. She is a 'Maledictus' which is a carrier of a blood curse which will ultimately transform the carrier permanently into a beast. We of course know that in her case she transforms into a snake and winds up as Voldemort’s pet and Horcrux. The interesting thing that arises here is the question of whether or not Voldemort knows about Nagini's true past. He can talk to snakes after all.

What did you think of this final trailer and what are your thoughts on this surprising character connection with Nagini?

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be in theaters on November 16, 2018.
