Disney Channel is creating a live action Kim Possible movie.

In a surprise announcement, the Disney Channel has revealed that they are looking to bring back Kim Possible. The hit cartoon ran for four seasons and had eighty seven episodes. This time around the Disney Channel is looking to bring the franchise to the real world by creating a live action film.

The show followed high school student Kim Possible (voiced by Christy Carlson Romano) as she fought crime with her best friend and sidekick Ron Stoppable (voiced by Will Friedle), and her computer genius friend Wade (voiced by Tahj Mowry). Casting has just begun for the film and at the moment there is no word as to who will play the various roles and if the character's original voice actors will be a part of the film in any way.

The film was written by original series creators Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley along with Josh Cagan. Joining them on the project to executive produce the film will be Zanne Devine.

Are you excited for a live action Kim Possible film? Who would you cast in the roles of our crime fighting heroes?
