John Williams announces he will write the theme for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Exciting news, Star Wars fans! Legendary composer John Williams, who composed the scores to all eight main Star Wars films, has announced that he will be writing the theme song to the new film Solo: A Star Wars Story. He will be joined by composer John Powell who will be writing the rest of the film's score.

The announcement came from an interview that John Williams had with Variety.

"“The present plan is that I’m writing a theme for Han Solo, and John Powell is going to write the score, which he’ll do brilliantly. 

His assignment is something I’m very happy about. What I will do is offer this to John, and to [director] Ron Howard, and if all parties are happy with it, then I will be happy. … John [Powell] will complete the score. He will write all the rest of the themes and all of the other material, which I’m going to be very anxious to hear.”"

Not much is known yet about this upcoming Han Solo film but the fact that Williams will be creating the theme is great news!
