Live action trailer released for a non-Disney version of The Little Mermaid.

A brand new trailer for a live action The Little Mermaid film has been released but it was not the film that fans were expecting. This particular version of the film is not by Disney and seems to focus more on the original tale from Hans Christian Anderson than that of Disney were you'll see singing crabs and happy fish.

The trailer is very ... interesting and fans are wildly split on what they think between those bashing it for being so far from the Disney version and those willing to give it a chance for being its own tale and branching out. The impressive thing is the cast that the film has as you'll notice quite a few faces throughout the trailer. The film itself has no release date right now but I'd expect it to be released sometime in 2017.

Watch the trailer below and let me know your thoughts in the comments.
