Superman will officially be featured on Supergirl during season 2!

It looks like Supergirl fans will finally be getting a good look at Kara's famous cousin during season 2 of Supergirl which will be airing on The CW. Throughout the first season you only saw blurred images of Superman but it has been officially announced by Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg that Clark Kent/Superman will be appearing during the first 2 episodes of the next season.

""Greg, Ali and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of Supergirl. Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season and we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!""

Casting is currently underway to see who will portray Superman but personally, I would love it if they brought back actor Tom Welling who played Clark Kent/Superman on The CW's Smallville. I know that is a long shot but how amazing would that be! Who would you want to see cast in the role? Are you excited that the character will officially be featured on the show?
