New Independence Day: Resurgence promo video explains what happened in "The War of 1996".

Twenty years ago, aliens came to Earth and tried to destroy the human species in the film Independence Day. Now the much anticipated sequel, Independence Day: Resurgence, will be hitting theaters and fans are getting excited. To excite fans further, 20th Century Fox has released a new promotional video has been released that takes the form a news report that talks about "The War of 1996" and introduces some of the characters that will be in the film.



Independence Day: Resurgence will be in theaters on June 24, 2016.
