Marvel releases new Thor: Ragnarok castings and an amazing piece of concept art!

Marvel has released some new and great casting news as well as an amazing piece of concept art (seen above) for the upcoming film Thor: Ragnarok.

At the moment the cast is really coming together and will star Cate Blanchett as the villain Hela, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson  as the hero Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, and last but certainly not least is Mark Ruffalo as Hulk.

These new cast members will join the returning cast of Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, and Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin. Marvel doesn't mention Jaime Alexander as Lady Sif but I was certain she was confirmed for this film as well. I hope so. I love Lady Sif!

Speaking about the building cast, Producer Kevin Feige stated;
"“The continuation of the epic Thor franchise will be powerful and unique, and with the additions of Cate, Jeff, Tessa, Karl, and Mark to the cast we have the makings of his most dangerous and heroic adventure yet. The sheer, raw talent each of these actors brings to the screen can’t be quantified. Having any one of them join the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be an honor, and having all of them is incredible.""

One thing is for sure, with this building list of characters Thor: Ragnarok is looking to give Captain America: Civil War a run for their money. I am definitely excited to see this film and cannot wait.

What do you think about the cast and newly announced characters? What do you think about the piece of art that was released?

Thor: Ragnarok will be in theaters on November 3, 2016.
