Charlie Cox discusses Daredevil forming The Defenders for the Netflix series.

Marvel's Netflix line of shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist) will all come together for a mini series for The Defenders. Until now details on The Defenders has been rare but actor Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock/Daredevil, has revealed that is it actually his character Daredevil that will bring these street level heroes together to form the new team.
""He can’t do this alone. He’s been so adamant about being a lone wolf, about doing it himself, so I think that in order for him to get to The Defenders we needed this second season. We needed to see him be broken individually so that he can - he’s willing to form a team. The lesson that Matt has had to learn in the second season of Daredevil is that he needs help.""
Daredevil bringing these heroes together is absolutely perfect. It feels right to have him take the lead as he was the first street hero introduced in this Netflix group. I cannot wait to see what Luke Cage and Iron Fist have in store for us and then on to The Defenders!
