Short clip from Star Wars Rebels return episode reveals the appearance of a young Princess Leia!

The conclusion of Disney XD's Star Wars Rebels season 2 will bring in another main Star Wars character that will certainly excite fans of the franchise. Guest staring in the premiere episode "Princess on Lothal" will be Princess Leia herself!

Leia is said to be about 15 years old as she makes her appearance in the show and makes her way to Lothal on a secret mission to acquire ships for the rebel fleet. Speaking to TV Insider, Dave Filoni (creator of Star Wars Rebels) stated,

"“We thought we had an opportunity to show her learning to be a leader, experimenting with the personality that becomes the stronger more resolute character you see in A New Hope. One of the complex challenges of depicting Leia in Rebels is that we have to remind the audience that at this point she is part of the Empire. She doesn’t believe in the Empire, but she is acting the part, almost a double agent.”"

Providing the voice for this single appearance (it is uncertain if Leia will be back on the show at all) is Julie Dolan who provided for the voice for Leia on the mobile game Star Wars: Uprising.
