Domhnall Gleeson opens up about his character General Hux in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Not many people may know the name Domhnall Gleeson (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Ex Maachina) but this December the world will take notice when he stars as General Hux in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. There is little known about this new character but during a recent interview with Games Radar Gleeson did share some of his personal thoughts about his experience playing the character.
""Yeah, I mean you look at him and you realise he’s not a good guy! He’s got an English accent so he can’t be good.”"
Gleeson then opened up about how one of the things he is most excited about with his character is getting the opportunity to play something different.
""Yeah, it’s fun to do different things. I hadn’t played anybody like that before. Star Wars is amazing, J.J. Abrams is amazing, but the thing to do was play something different. That’s what got me really excited."
When working on a project as big as Star Wars you know that the sets are going to be both big and impressive. Gleeson doesn't shy away from admitting that the sets on this film took his breath away.
""That does sort of take your breath way. That’s one of those ‘pinch me’ moments. I experienced it in a major way on Harry Potter and it’s a similar thing with Star Wars, except you look down and you’re in the gear and you have stuff to say and you’re like, ‘Holy God.’ And yes, it’s very difficult to remain cool about stuff like that. There’s no two ways about it, it’s totally brilliant.""
I look forward to seeing what the character of General Hux is all about in the film and the role that he'll play in the story.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be in theaters on December 18, 2015.
