AMC's adaptation of the comic Preacher has a new poster and release date!
Seth Rogen, who will serve as executive producer for the show, has revealed the first poster for the upcoming show adaptation for the comic Preacher. The show will be airing on AMC and has a release date set for May of 2016. The original comics were created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon and told the story of a preacher, Jesse Custer, who literally searches out God to make him/her pay for certain actions. Custer also has a power known as "The Word of God" that forces people who can comprehend his speech to do what ever it is that he tells them to do. (It gets ... brutal.)
Preacher will star "Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga as Jesse's ex-girlfriend Tulip, Gilgun as his vampire friend Cassidy, Colletti as Arseface and Lucy Griffiths as Emily, a character created for the TV show."
It'll be really interesting to see how this adaptation comes out and how much the show will be able to show from the comics. Are you excited for the new show?
