X-Men spinoff film Gambit is in jeopardy as Channing Tatum looks to leave the project.

The upcoming X-Men spinoff film Gambit has had a rocky road to get to where it is today. However, that is all in the past. Or so it seemed. It finally found it's lead in Channing Tatum and had a very positive appearance at San Diego Comic Con recently.

Now it seems as though Channing Tatum may be pulling out of his deal with 20th Century Fox and putting the film in jeopardy. This comes as a shock since Tatum seemed very passionate about the character and getting this film made. It was one of the things that landed him the role and sold him as Gambit to (some) fans.

Young actresses have been getting screen tested to play along side Tatum and it seems as though if Tatum does leave the project that the studio may try to push forward and recast the role. Nothing is final just yet but things certainly do not look good.

Do you think Tatum will leave the project? Are you still interested to see the film Gambit be made?
