Nintendo's Splatoon has Easter eggs for 8-bit Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda!
As we approach the launch date of Nintendo's upcoming third person shooter Splatoon, the anticipation keeps on building. To increase the game's greatness, a new discovery had been made by GameXplain that is a lot of fun. It appears as though Splatoon will have Easter eggs in it for fellow Nintendo games Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda from the original NES. On one of the maps in the game you will find an 8-bit Blooper from Super Mario Bros. on a poster on a wall and on another wall you'll find an 8-bit Octorok from The Legend of Zelda! There is also a Mario reference on a tee shirt you can purchase for your inkling that features Mario warp pipes and coins. These may be small references but they are still really cool. Watch the video below to see what they look like.
Splatoon will be on store shelves for the Wii U on May 29, 2015.
A big thank you goes out to my girlfriend, Jackie, for sharing this news with me!
