Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition is revealed to feature Star Wars as well as Marvel and Disney! Find out everything you need to know!

Disney Interactive has officially announced Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition and it features Star Wars!! (This announcement would have been great yesterday on Star Wars Day but that's okay.) Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition is being developed by Avalanche Software in partnership with Ninja Theory, Sumo Digital, Studio Gobo and United Front Games. This new game will bring the Star Wars franchise into the Disney Infinity umbrella that includes great Disney franchises as well as Marvel franchises. It'll be amazing to see all of these characters interacting together. The debut trailer can be watched below as well as the newest episode of Disney Infinity Toy Box TV that talks about the Top 5 things that you need to know about Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition.

Now take a look at Disney Infinity Toy Box TV and see John Vignocchi and Allison talk about the Top 5 things that you need to know about Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition.

Right now five play-sets are confirmed for 3.0 which include 3 Star Wars playsets, 1 Marvel, and 1 for Disney's Inside Out. The play sets are:

- Twilight of the Republic - This Star Wars play set is based on the Clone Wars franchise. This play set is included with the Starter Pack for 3.0 and will include Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano figures. This story takes place after Episode II and will feature both land and space battles.

- Rise Against the Empire - This Star Wars play set is based on the original trilogy, Episodes IV-VI. This play set will come with the Luke and Leia figures.

- The Force Awakens - This play set will be released this winter, possibly with a updated title. No information is yet known.

- Marvel - This play set does not yet have a title but seems to focus on newer Marvel film and will include Iron Man's Hulkbuster armor and Ultron as well as more characters.

- Pixar’s Inside Out - This play set will be based on Pixar's new film coming out this summer. This play set will come with the Joy and Anger figures.

Also being released for the all new and fully enhanced Toy Box are two new multiplayer Toy Box Expansion Games; "Toy Box Speedway" (kart racing) and "Toy Box Takeover" (action-adventure)!

The known figures coming out for Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition are:
Star Wars: Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Yoda. (Where's R2-D2??)

Marvel: Hulkbuster Iron Man and Ultron.

Disney: Mickey, Minnie, Olaf, Sam Flynn, Quorra, Mulan, Anger, Disgust, Fear, Joy, and Sadness.

At the moment it is being reported that Power Discs will still be sold in packs of two however, they will no longer be "Blind Packs". Buyers will know exactly what two discs they are buying when they purchase them thanks to the packs now being labeled with the discs inside. This may eliminate some of the power disc trading that the first two editions of the games saw but in the end it will save money for gamers and I actually like this change. All figures and Power Discs from Disney Infinity 1.0 and 2.0 will be compatible with Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition in the all new Toy Box.

Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition will be available for Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC and will hit store shelves this fall. The Star Wars Starter Pack will be $65 (lower than previous editions).
