Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil gets renewed for a second season!

It has officially been announced by Marvel that their smash hit show on Netflix Daredevil will be returning for a second season!

This news does not come as a surprise to those who watched the amazing 13 episode first season of the show but it is great news to have it confirmed.

One big change happening for the show's second season is that Executive Producer Steven S. DeKnight will not be returning for the second season because of commitment issues that lay elsewhere. Doug Petrie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, American Horror Story) and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy) worked very closely with DeKnight on Daredevil and will be stepping up as the new showrunners.
""While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season," DeKnight explains, "I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can't wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.""
At the moment there is no date set yet for the show's second season but Marvel is moving foward with their other Netflix projects; A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Defenders. Marvel's A.K.A Jessica Jones is set to air later this year with Luke Cage coming in 2016.
