Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye is confirmed for Captain America: Civil War!

Fans were given some good news today as actor Jeremy Renner was confirmed to be reprising his role as Hawkeye in the upcoming Marvel film Captain America: Civil War!

At the moment, Civil War is shaping up to be quite a crowded film (as it should be). The comic storyline brought the Marvel universe together and then drew a line in the sand forcing heroes to choose one side or the other as the heroes went against each other because of a government hero registration act.

Comic fans will know that Hawkeye wasn't a part of the Civil War story in the comics but that is okay. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been making some changes here and there and so far it has worked out great. Currently, the film will include Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). It is also said that Frank Grillo will be in the fil as the villain Crossbones.

The last piece of the Civil War puzzle is whether or not the brand new Spider-Man will be making an appearance in the film. As Spidey holds a very large role in the comic story it would make sense to include him here but we are still waiting on the confirmation from Marvel and Sony.

Captain America: Civil War will be released on May 6, 2016.
