Original Green/White Ranger, Jason David Frank, responds to the new dark and gritty Power Rangers fan film.
A few days ago a new fan film for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers surfaced that took the franchise to a much more dark and gritty place. Fans seem to be split on it but the overall reaction seemed to be very positive and a lot of people I know loved it, including myself. The 14 minute film was produced by Adi Shankar and directed by Joseph Kahn and starred James Van Der Beek and Katee Katee Sackhoff.
One of the original cast members of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Jason David Frank who played Tommy Oliver aka the Green / White Ranger, has stepped forward and offered his thoughts on this new fan film. In his video response he even mentions that he was approached to be in the film but had to pass on it. He shares why he turned down the role and what he thinks about it and even if you do not agree with him you have to appreciate the respectful nature of his response.
