Former Superman and Supergirl, Dean Cain and Helen Slater, join CBS' Supergirl!

Casting news for CBS' upcoming Supergirl show have slowly been rolling in but TV Line has reported two very big castings that DC fans out there just may love!

CBS has just cast Dean Cain and Helen Slater for unknown guest starring roles on the upcoming show! Dean Cain played Clark Kent / Superman on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman from 1993 to 1997 and actress Helen Slater played Kara Zor-El / Supergirl / Linda Lee in the 1984 Supergirl film!

This actually isn't the first time that these two will be guest staring in a modern DC show as both appeared on the hit show Smallville that followed the adventures of Clark Kent as he grew up into the hero Superman. "Slater in the role of Clark/Kal-El’s Krypton mom Lara, and Cain as the immortal Dr. Curtis Knox."

It was recently reported that there is a chance that Superman would appear in this new Supergirl show but it seems as though it would just be a "guest appearance". I think fans will loose their minds, myself included, if it turns out that Dean Cain will once again suit up as the Man of Steel.

Actress Melissa Benoist will be staring as Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Laura Benanti as Kara Zor-El's Kryptonian mother, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Davide Harewood as Hank Henshaw (aka Cyborg Superman), and Chyler Leigh as Alexandra "Alex" Danvers.

Who do you think Dean Cain and Helen Slater could be playing in the new show?
