Matt Smith is signed on to star in the film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies!

Matt Smith is currently best known for his role as the Doctor on Doctor Who but fans will soon be getting to see him on the big screen in an adaptation of a wildly popular book.

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the actor has been cast in the upcoming film adaptation of the novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies that was written by Seth Grahame-Smith. This book was an expanded version of the classic tale from Jane Austin Pride and Prejudice.

The film will center around the character of Liz Bennett as she searches for love during an outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the dead into killers. She ignores her family's pressure to marry into wealth and decides to help fight off the zombie plague. "Smith will play Mr. Collins, a parson who is on the lookout for a wife and proposes to Bennett."

Fans will get to see Matt Smith twice on the big screen along with the new Pride and Prejudice and Zombies as he is also staring in Terminator: Genisys and Lost River (also starring Ryan Gosling).
