The Tick could be returning with an all new live action show! [video]
It's hard to believe but the superhero known as The Tick could be returning with another live action show. Fan were first introduced to this hero by the Tick comics written by Ben Edlund and the 1994 animated series that lasted three seasons. Seeing the success of the character FOX aired The Tick live action show in 2001. The show starred Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld, Rules of Engagement) as the title character but FOX canceled the show after just 9 episodes after not finding their target audience.
According to People, Amazon will be bringing the show back but at the moment there is no set date. Streaming sites have had success with their original shows so this news is plausible. Original star Patrick Warburton is said to be returning to reprise his role as The Tick and original creator Ben Edlund will come on to produce the show. The original show developed a cult following so it'll be interesting to see how this show does and what kind of audience it'll grab.
