Guardians of the Galaxy animated series is on its way!

It was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that the newest team to Marvel's cinematic universe, the Guardians of the Galaxy, is getting its own animated TV show! To fans' delight, Marvel showed off a short trailer at their panel that is described as:

"In the clip, Rocket Raccoon, appearing first in silhouette, fights off multiple flying robotic enemies before Starlord shows up, telling him, "If you're going to hang out with me, you're going to need bigger blasters.""

Sounds like a fun short teaser and we all know that Rocket will have no problem using "bigger blasters"! It was also revealed that the Guardians will be making appearances on the other Marvel animated shows in order to get fans out there a little more familiar with the team.

"The short clip followed comments by SVP-Production and Creative Director Eric Radomski that the Guardians would appear in episodes of all current Marvel animated series, including "Ultimate Spider-Man," "Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.," and "Avengers Assemble.""
