Bryan Konietzko, creator of The Legend of Korra, announces a change for the show to be announced at San Diego Comic-Con!
Bryan Konietzko, creator and writer of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, has just posted the following image to his official tumblr.
It appears that the ratings of the show have dipped low enough to force Nickelodeon to make some unfortunate decisions. Right now there is no official news but everything will be revealed this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con. This digital initiative could likely mean that episodes will simply appear on Nick.com for free or Hulu but it is also likely that they will appear for a fee on sites like iTunes and Amazon. I can only hope that Season 3 will be allowed to finish on Nickelodeon and perhaps then have Season 4, which is already underway, move to the digital initiative. But at the moment we can only wait for the official SDCC announcement. I really hope this all ends well. I really love this show.
