Confirmed - Jason Momao cast as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League!

There are times where rumors turn out to be gloriously true and that seems to be the case in the casting of Aquaman for the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Hollywood Reporter has just confirmed that Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Stargate: Atlantis) has been cast as Aquaman for both Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League which will be shooting back to back.

The original rumor broke out last December by HitFix, but Momoa remained strong and gave no indication of his casting for the films. Aquaman will now be joining Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg in the upcoming films. As a founding member of the Justice League it makes perfect sense that he added to the story and cast. At the moment there are no confirmations that either Green Lantern or the Flash will join the film but rumors have circulated about them as well.

Aquaman is a character who has been on the wrong end of jokes with comic fans for a long time so I think casting Momoa is the perfect choice for the role. Momoa commands respect when he walks on screen and has the physical power to back up his intimidating look. I think that's just what Aquaman needs to get fans to look at him in a more positive light.

Are you excited about the confirmation of Aquaman to the two films? How do you feel about the casting of Jason Momoa?
