Announcement trailer released for Batman: Arkham Knight! [video]
Video game developer Rocksteady has just released the announcement trailer for the newest game in the Batman Arkham franchise. The game will be titled Batman: Arkham Knight and it looks great! Taking place one year after Batman: Arkham City this game will feature the first driveable Batmobile to the franchise! To allow players to have fun with the Batmobile Rocksteady has enlarged the playable map for this game.
"In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City. Be The Batman."
The trailer itself shows a lot of fun cinematic footage and gives fans a great look at the Batmobile. I'm not a fan of the Tumbler look for the Batmobile but there are plenty of fans out there who will love it. Batman has a slightly new suit for this game and the returning villains appear to have the same look as previous games except for Harley Quinn who has a similar outfit as previous games but has a new face in this game.
Although I am upset that there is no current release for this game on Nintendo's Wii U, I am excited to see more information get released for this game.
