Jennifer Lawrence's salary gets multiplied by 20 for Catching Fire!

It's no surprise that when a actor or actress return for a sequel that they will be rewarded with a raise. But the raise that Jennifer Lawrence is getting for The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire,  is sure to make co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth quite jealous.

Lawrence earned $500,000 for her role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games. After the huge success of the movie and being the heart of the film the actress is reportedly getting twenty times her Hunger Games salary for the sequel. That's right, twenty times! For Catching Fire Lawrence will be earning $10 million.

This may pale in comparison to actors/actresses in other franchise movies such as Daniel Radcliffe who earned $33 million for the last Harry Potter installment or Kristen Stewart who raked in $20 million for her last Twilight film, but having your paycheck multiplied by twenty is still a pretty good deal.

Do you think that the pay increase for Lawrence is justified? Do you think she should receive less/more? Let me know in the comments!

  1. She deserves it! She's amazing as Katniss & Hunger Games made so much money, they can afford to pay her that salary.
