Doctor Who's newest companion's full name is revealed!

Actress Jenna-Louise Coleman will be taking over the role as the Doctor's companion aboard the TARDIS in the British sci-fi series Doctor Who after current companions Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill) depart the show mid way through the upcoming seventh season. Jenna's first episode will be the 2012 Christmas Special.

Up until now fans have only known Jenna's character's first name; Clara. But it is now being reported that the last name of the character has surfaced! Jenna's character will be named Clara Oswin.

The character is described as "a feisty and flirty computer expert" and "is said to be more than a match for the Doctor." While being interviewed by Digital Spy, Steven Moffat, Executive Producer and Lead Writer for Doctor Who, commented on Jenna's character by stating, "She brings a kind of speed, a wit, a sort of unimpressed-ness which has the Doctor dancing a little harder than he's used to."
