Archer and Bob's Burgers plan a crossover!

The shows Archer (FX) and Bob's Burgers (Fox) are doing very well in the respective markets. The one thing that connect these two shows is voice actor H. Jon Benjamin who voices both title characters. Despite the fact that Benjamin uses his own voice to voice his characters, he has made quite a career out of voice acting.

The only thing that would make his career any better would be if two of his voiced characters, from different shows, were to meet. Well, it may be a round-about way of doing it but that is exactly what fans are going to get. It was announced that Archer and Bob's Burgers will have a crossover event on the fourth season of the show Archer with the two title characters 'meeting'. Even better, John Roberts who voices Linda, Bob's wife on Bob's Burgers, will also come over to voice her character on Archer. Sadly, Bob's mischievous children will not be making the trip.

"As Benjamin explained, the unorthodox crossover follows a kind of Bourne Identity plot line. "It starts off with Archer as Bob, making hamburgers, but he doesn't know that he’s Archer," said the voice actor. "He's at the restaurant and these, like, I think Russian thugs come in, and Bob dispatches them expertly. And then he's like, 'What just happened? How did I do that?' So he has to try to figure out why he's so good at killing people.""

The concept behind this crossover was created by Archer creator, and Bob's Burgers fan, Adam Reed. Since this will be featured on Archer, Bob, Linda, and the restaurant will all be animated through the style of Archer. Bob's Burgers' creator Loren Bouchard has given his blessing for this event. It will be really interesting to see Bob's Burgers in the world of Archer.

Archer's fourth season is expected to air on FX in early 2013 while Bob's Burgers' third season is set to air on Fox this September.
