Things take a dark turn in the first trailer for the upcoming Star Wars show The Mandalorian.

Fresh from D23, Disney has released the first trailer for the first live action Star Wars show The Mandalorian and it looks great. This show is said to explore the "freakier" side to the Star Wars galaxy and it looks as though the darker tone of the show is hinted at in this first trailer.

The show will star Pedro Pascal (Narcos) as the Mandalorian, Gina Carano (Deadpool) as Cara Dune, Carl Weathers (Predator) as Greef Carga, Omid Abtahi (American Gods) as Dr. Pershing, Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), and Taika Waititi as the voice of the droid IG-11.
"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."

The Mandalorian will stream on Disney+ on November 12, 2019.
