Voice cast of Nickelodeon's SpongeBob Squarepants will portray their characters in a live action segment for the 20th Anniversary Special.

Nickelodeon has some fun ideas in store for SpongeBob Squarepants' big birthday coming up. As a part of the 20th Anniversary Special titled "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout", the voice cast of the show will be playing the characters themselves in a live action segment within the show. This will include Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick Star), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy Cheeks) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton). In addition to this news, Nickelodeon released the above image of the cast dressed as their characters.

The big special will be airing on Nickelodeon on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 7PM.
