First full length trailer for Disney's The Lion King fills fans with nostalgia as classic characters and scenes return.

Walt Disney Studios has just released the first full length trailer for the live action adaptation of The Lion King and I am super excited! The trailer is visually stunning and fans are treated to their first look at characters such as Scar, Zazu, Timon and Pumba, and Nala. There are also some iconic Disney scenes shown in this trailer.

Synopsis:
"Director Jon Favreau’s all-new “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his."
Enjoy!

For the record, there seems to be controversy around the fact that Scar is not the "right color" but I think he looks great! Grow up, people!

The Lion King will be in theaters on July 19, 2019.
