Nintendo announces Pokemon Generation 8 with a trailer for two new Nintendo Switch games, Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Nintendo held a Pokemon Direct today and it revealed the next games to be released on the Nintendo Switch, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Generation 8 of the franchise brings trainers to the Galar region with all new Pokemon and brand new starters. Check out the video below which features the announcement trailer (at the one minute mark) as well as some cool information about the upcoming games.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will be released on the Nintendo Switch in late 2019.
