The Netflix trailer for The Umbrella Academy delivers an unique superhero experience.

A new comic adaptation is coming to Netflix in a few weeks and it looks amazing. The Umbrella Academy is an adaptation of Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá's award-winning comic book that centers on a group of young adults who were born on the same day in 1989. The catch is that these mothers were not pregnant prior to that particular day. Hearing that these children may have extraordinary abilities, a billionaire adopts several of them and forms The Umbrella Academy where they will be trained to save the world. A few years later the billionaire dies and his children return to help solve the mystery of his death while trying to save the world from an apocalypse.

From the trailer you can see that this show will have a much different tone than normal superhero stories and it's this unique tone that will make this show stand out. The first season will consist of 10 episodes.
