Nancy Drew is on the case in the first trailer for Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase.

Nancy Drew is returning to a modern audience and the first trailer for the upcoming film Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase has officially been released by Warner Bros. Young actress Sophia Lillis (IT) stars as Nancy Drew in this new adaptation. Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase was initially released as the second volume in the Nancy Drew series on April 28, 1930. It was soon adapted for the screen in 1939 by Warner Bros.

This new film focuses on Nancy Drew, "a smart high schooler with a penchant for keen observation and deduction, who stumbles upon the haunting of a local home. A bit of an outsider struggling to fit into her new surroundings, Nancy and her pals set out to solve the mystery, make new friends, and establish their place in the community."



Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase will be in theaters on March 15, 2019.
