The first trailer for the BBC and Netflix's Watership Down is released.

The BBC and Netflix have released the first trailer for the upcoming adaptation to the classic 1972 novel by Richard Adams. The original animated film from 1978 is just as brutal as the book but it appears (at least from this short look) that things may be toned down blood-wise. This four part mini series will tell the tale of a group of rabbits' survival, pain, and friendship as they search for a new warren (home).
"Adapted for the screen by Tom Bidwell and directed by Noam Murro, this tale of adventure, courage and survival follows a band of rabbits as they flee the certain destruction of their home."

I have to say that this trailer didn't sell me on the mini-series. I may check it out because I actually just read Watership Down in the last few months so I am curious about it but I was kind of hoping the animation / CG would look better in this film. Does it look kind of off to anyone else?

Watership Down will debut on BBC One from December 22-23, 2018 and will stream on Netflix on December 23, 2018.
