Kristen Wiig is cast as Cheetah in Wonder Woman 2.

Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins confirmed today that actress Kristen Wiig has been cast as the villain Cheetah for the Wonder Woman sequel. Jenkins posted the announced on her Twitter account earlier today.

Word has it that the Cheetah that will be featured in the film will be the third, of four, Cheetah, Barbara Ann Minerva. Minerva is a British anthropologist who takes on the mantle of Cheetah after locating the Lost City of Urzkartagan and walks into the middle of an ancient ritual. It is also being said that the film will be set in the 1980's during the Cold War and will follow Diana Prince as she takes on the Soviet Union.
