Jude Law is cast as Mar-Vell opposite of Brie Larson's Captain Marvel in the upcoming Marvel film.

Big new, Marvel fans! Sources are saying that actor Jude Law has just been cast in the upcoming Captain Marvel film. Law will star as Walter Lawson, aka Mar-Vell, opposite of Brie Larson who will be playing Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel.

It's being said that Mar-Vell, who was known as Captain Mar-Vell in the comics, will be a mentor to Carol Danvers as she comes into her new powers and abilities. There is no information on how close to the comics Mar-Vell's story, or backstory, will be but I am excitedly awaiting more information on the character.

Captain Marvel is set to release in theaters on March 8, 2019.
