Watch the first trailer for Amazon and Studio Ghibli's upcoming show Ronja, The Robber's Daughter.

Amazon has just released the first trailer for their upcoming original anime series Ronja, The Robbers Daughter. The series comes from Studio Ghibli and is based on the book of the same name by author Astrid Lindgren. Lindfren also wrote Pippi Longstocking. This new series will be narrated by actress Gillian Anderson (The X-Files) who has previously worked with Studio Ghibli on Princess Mononoke. The trailer is extremely cute and definitely has the Studio Ghibli art style. This will be a fun series for fans to check out.

Synopsis:

"Presented by Studio Ghibli. The daughter of a professional robber, Ronja realizes the complicated nature of her father’s profession when she befriends Birk, the child of a rival tribe. She struggles to balance this friendship with her family relationship but comes to understand, how differences can be overcome with the help of love and understanding."
