Emilia Clarke joins the cast of the stand alone Star Wars Han Solo film.

StarWars.com has just revealed another big casting for the upcoming stand alone Han Solo film that will be set in the Star Wars univserse. It looks like Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke will be traveling to a galaxy far, far away.

"StarWars.com is excited to announce that Clarke, known for her stirring portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, will join the upcoming untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie. Clarke’s role will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures." 

Emilia Clarke will be joining Alden Ehrenreich who was cast as Han Solo and Donald Glover who has been cast as Lando Calrissian. Are you excited to see Clarke enter the Star Wars franchise? Any wild guesses at what kind of a role she could have been cast in?

This Han Solo film is set to be released in 2018.
