See the Potter family cast photos from Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.

The first official photo of the Potter family has been released for the upcoming British play Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. This story will pick up 19 years after the events of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. The photo features Harry Potter, played by Jamie Parker, Ginny Potter, played by Poppy Miller, and their son Albus Severus Potter, who is being played by Sam Clemmett. The casting for Harry and Ginny are perfect.

Speaking about Jamie Parker as Harry, JK Rowling stated;

"“He simply is Harry now. There’s a kind of relief in watching him, he gets it so right.”"

On Poppy Miller as Ginny;

"“I think a lot of people would like to have Poppy’s Ginny for a mother. Kind and cool, exactly as I imagined her.”"

This is great news so far!

Rowling couldn't say much on Sam Clemmett as Albus but did offer this;

"“There’s much I could say about Sam-as-Albus, but we’d be into spoiler territory so quickly I’ll just say we couldn’t have cast better.”"

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child will have previews beginning on June 7, 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London and the script book will be on store shelves on July 31, 2016.
