Sounds like Thor and Star-Lord were just confirmed for Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War.

There isn't too much known about the upcoming Marvel films Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II. With still two years left before we get to them the studio and been keeping relatively quiet on the plans for the films. However, directors Joe and Anthony Russo recently did an interview with ComicBook.com that gives us a hint at some returning heroes for the films. The Marvel Cinematic Universe, like the comics, is starting to become filled with big name heroes so it is nice to get an idea of who we could see going up against Thanos when the larger story all comes together.

Anthony Russo teased the introduction of Chris Pratt's Star-Lord by stating,

""The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that's happened before in the MCU so you don't want to get into spoilers but I'm a big fan of what James Gunn has done. [Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you'd be very excited.""
It is only a matter of time before some of the Guardians of the Galaxy met all the other MCU heroes so it is exciting to see Star-Lord enter the mix. I really hope Rocket and Groot make an appearance because that will make for a hilarious meeting between them and the other heroes.

Next, Joe Russo talks about Thor's entrance into the film.
""I'm excited to work with Thor. They're doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he's gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he's gonna have a real emotional motivation after that.""
From this you can see that Thor is confirmed in the film and I cannot wait.

Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II will be in theaters on May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 respectively.
