Lyndsy Fonseca will return to Agent Carter for season 2.

It has been revealed that when Marvel's Agent Carter returns for its second season in January that actress Lyndsy Fonseca will also be returning as the fan favorite character Angie Martinelli. Season 2 of the show brings Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) across the states to Los Angeles so you may be wondering how Angie finds herself appearing in the second season as well. Executive Producer Michele Fazekas explained it to Entertainment Weekly as such,

"“Episode 8 ends with a cliffhanger where Peggy and Jarvis [James D’Arcy] get in big trouble and are knocked out. Episode 9 begins with a dream sequence that starts in black and white — by the way, [Atwell] was made for black and white. She looks like Rita Hayworth. She looks spectacular.”"

She continues by explaining that Angie appears to Peggy during this scene and will act as Peggy's conscience as she struggles to overcome the obstacle in front of her.

"“She’s your conscience and she’s speaking the things that Peggy maybe can’t say to herself. It ties things back together from the first season and it’s connecting all of these things in a way that only a dream can do.”"

This is an interesting way to bring in a character that fans really enjoyed from the first season. Do you think this addition to the second season is necessary or could Peggy have had her stroke of conscience another way? Are you excited to see Lyndsy Fonseca return to the show?
