Watch the first 7 minute Supergirl trailer from CBS and see the new show banner!

Wow! In an unexpected move CBS has released a near 7 minute trailer for their upcoming DC show Supergirl along with a new show banner that shows off the Supergirl suit's true brighter color. The new show will star Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, and Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant. Watching the trailer you can see very fast images of Dean Cain and Helen Slater in the beginning that make it look like they will be playing Kara’s adoptive parents, the Danvers. The trailer itself shows quite a lot of what the show will offer and even though certain fans are already looking down on it because of it's more playful tone, I actually think that is what will make the show be a success. The trailer shows fans the creation of the Supergirl suit, her reveal of her powers to the world, Supergirl in the heat of action, flying, and much more. I have to say that I am legitimately excited for this show now. It looks like it will be a lot of fun to watch.  Enjoy the trailer below!

Supergirl will air on Mondays this Fall on CBS at 8pm EST.
